Teaching grammar has always been the central debate in foreign language teaching for many decades. The choice of grammar as the focus of investigation in this book is triggered by the controversies that surround the conflicting views about how grammar should be taught. There is no well-defined approach to teaching grammar because of the different views of concerning grammar in English language. The book offers the different views regarding grammar teaching and provides a historical glance at the stages of grammar teaching.
