The Japanese occupation of Hong Kong is seen from a bovine perspective. Other animals feature a rat that sings zydeco, a dog that is a humanoid, a grey mare with a dislike of bad language and a bicycle that transmogrifies into a giant black falcon. Mechanical objects develop a life and personality of their own.
