A virus has decimated humanity. Terrifying creatures have appeared, standing in the fields like scarecrows during the day, hunting their prey at night. Icarus and Charlton survive on their sugar cane farm in Far North Queensland with their dog, Fiddich, keeping the farm going in the hope that life may return to normal one day.
