Proximate composition of roselle seed cake shows that it is higher in value for dry matter and ash compared to groundnut cake also in threonine and cystine (0.74mg/100g,1.24mg/100g) than GNC (0.34mg/100g, 0.62mg/100g). The dietary treatments resulted in increase in final weight and average daily gain as the level of RSC increased in the diet. The results of the first feeding trial showed that at the starter phase, final body weights and average daily gain were significantly higher in birds fed RSC diets compared to other dietary treatments. Daily feed intake also increased as the level of RSC increased in the diet. At the finisher phase final weight and daily feed intake also increase linearly as the level of RSC increases in the diet Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that 33% RSC with amino acid supplementation can bring about improved performance of broilers chickens with no adverse effect.
