This text offers an analysis on two extraordinary playwrights of Absurd Theatre, one from the West and another from the East, Samuel Beckett and Sayeed Ahmad who were writing about helplessness, human frustration, uncertainties, and about the indifference of all Powerful Nature/Earth, along with a note of hope and waiting- all of which they make us experience directly. The collection comprises eight papers of different sizes and moods. Most of them are narrative researches and follow descriptive-cum analytical method. Some key concepts relating to 'Absurdity', 'Waiting and Hope' are discussed in relation to the texts. Beckett and Ahmad epitomize absurdity as reality. Through the journey of the characters, readers realize what the playwright intends them to realize. Their plays focus on how man is able to confront and survive against the hostility of surroundings and expose the real reality of absurdity. They explore the strength of the human spirit and ask the readers to reflect on their own lives. It helps us grasping the Reality of Absurdity and make us see the world differently, so that we can either accept the absurdity of life or fight against it as long as possible.
