O knihe
This work is associated with the genre of mystical-philosophical literature which, in comparison to the typical exegesis, entails additional significant meanings which I attempt to expose. The scope of the work includes an introduction, three main chapters and appendices. The chapters deal with different outlooks, diverse representations of theater and mysticism, and everything in between. Each chapter deals with the dialogue between theatre and mysticism, both of which are elements of classical culture. To paraphrase Friedrich Nietzsche's thinking: the Dionysian and the Apollonian. In classical culture, the worlds of the two elements mentioned above seem to differ in path and purpose. The Dionysian element is driven by the compulsion to create new worlds and to destroy them - as does the theater - while the Apollonian element aspires for peace and balance - as does mysticism. This duality expresses both the common sides of the two - the way they stand side by side - and their complementary paths. This work is also intertwined with a philosophy of ideas that unites various disciplines and evokes vital thoughts and new aspects that have fascinated me during my many years of research.
