The very purpose of the present maiden book on Garden Tourism of Kashmir with special focus on gardens of Srinagar has been to analyse and examine the spatial, socio-economic, historical and related characteristics of the gardens in valley with special analysis of Tulip garden Srinagar. The authors thereby also aimed to suggest some revival measures for better management of the garden tourism in Kashmir valley especially that of Tulip Garden.Therefore, present book is very significant attempt to analyze the tourism potential in historic Srinagar city and planning thereof. Due to the lack of such studies in the Srinagar city, this book aims to fill the existing gap and contribute towards better tourism policies and strategies in the city.
