The dearth of materials and texts in transportation planning has been a driving force in the writing of this book. Transport infrastructure particularly the road has been viewed over the years as a factor in the analysis of spatial structure and function. Equally the existence of good quality road network influences the socio-economic development of such areas. The book revealed the total number of the road infrastructure both paved and unpaved in the area. The greater percentage of the unpaved road infrastructure in the area this lead to poor accessibility of settlements and not good for socio-economic development. A critical assessment was done to determine the level of road transport development and the impact of good quality road on socio-economic development.
