Wadi the whale is a beautifully illustrated story book with a very important life lesson: being kind. Wadi shows readers the importance of treating others the way you want others to treat you. The story and illustrations also teach readers about whales and other marine life.
Wadi, an enormouse whale, likes to swim far every day and greets everyone he meets. He asks how they are and listens to their news. He cares about the other sea creatures. One day Wadi and two other whales, Toto and Lulu, are swimming together. All the creatures greet Wadi, but not the other whales. Wadi swims along singing, but Toto and Lulu follow him with unhappy faces. They do not know why nobody speaks to them. Wadi explains that they have to treat others how they want to be treated. So if they want others to be friendly to them, then they need to be friendly and polite to others. The three swim along and Toto and Lulu begin to greet the other sea creatures first. They realize how good it feels to be polite and friendly, and they carry on treating others how they want to be treated.
This book is part of the exciting Sea stories series, a set of little stories with big lessons. By relating to the fun characters in this series, children can learn valuable life skills.
