An attempt, therefore, is made to show what our Lord's interpretation of His own time was, and how that applies to our own Age. The first half of the book is concerned with this, and the second in discussing its application to the Church, the Family, the Individual and the Nation. The last chapter, This Time calls for Repentance, had been written before I heard of the suggestion that a National Mission should be held throughout England. I am not only heartily thankful to hear that such a preposal is being discussed, but trust that it may be the means through which the Church of God may see more clearly the meaning and purpose of the war.
