The Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act 1967 (UAPA) is an Indian law passed to provide for the more effective prevention of certain unlawful activities of individuals and associations and for matters connected therewith. Its main aim and purpose were to make powers available for dealing with activities directed against the integrity and sovereignty of India. This Act was amended in the year 2004, 208, 2012, and recently in 2019. All the provisions of this Act are critically discussed and analyzed in this book. It is written to maintain the basic feature of the book in presenting the subject in a clear, comprehensive, and lucid manner so that the readers can easily grip the subject. The book has five chapters. The first chapter of the book contains the general introduction of the Act. The second chapter deals with the salient features of the Act and the Amendments of the Act. Chapter three examines analytical discussion on the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, as amended up to date. Chapter four focuses on various anti-terrorism legislation of some countries. Chapter five is the concluding chapter and ends with some observations.
