The Claret Homes, or Hogares Claret in Spanish, are safe-havens for youth who have been living on the streets. The many homes of Father Mejia's foundation have experienced a 98% success rate getting youth off of drugs and reintegrated back into society.
Scott Werner, MD, was so intrigued at the success rate of the Hogares Claret that he went to live with the three priests that run the Claret Homes Foundation to study their methods of therapy. What he found was life changing teachings, healing and rehabilitation of the street children of South America. This book is a chronicle of his visit to help spread the word about an alternative to our current approach to heal our addicted youth.
