Poetry was always a secret hobby for me and English was never a strong point for me in school. It was a very big surprise to family and friends when I first started sharing them. Because of their great comments, they gave me the courage to try and publish my work. I've never been much of a reader. Time online and in chatrooms improved my spelling and the way I put my feelings across.
