The ms. Of the Germania, like that of the Agricokz, has a great many variants. These are without exception written on the margin in the hand and ink used in the body of the text. Someone has also added on the margin here and there in bright red ink the nominative form of certain proper names occurring in the text. Thus on folio 1r. Opposite 2, 8 (ed. Mall.) stands Germania, opposite 2, 12 (ibid.) Tuisco deus, opposite 2, 13 (ibid.) Mannus. These additions are of no importance in discussing the ms., and may, therefore, be left entirely out of consideration.
