John Cooke the author used to tell his grand children fictional stories to keep them amused his wife suggested tha he should write a childrens book, it was then he wrote the marmardor and ellen book. The book proved to be a great success with his grandchildre and their fnends, so it was decided that he should have the book published for other children to enjoy.
