O knihe
Lou Roberts is a rhymester through and through. His verse is simple, for the most part untitled, out of the blue, yet quite self-explanatory. Free verse does not suit his fancy. About the Author Lou Roberts was born in Grand Island, Nebraska, in 1936. After graduating from prep school, he served four years in the military (USAF) as a jet engine specialist. Over the many years past, he has attended two universities, one college, and a technical institute, enabling him to become licensed as an undertaker, aircraft technician, and EAA flight instructor. He has been a kayaker, weightlifter, and road cyclist, along with having a list of hobbies (woodcarving, charcoal and pencil drawing, model aircraft, cars, boats, etc.). He has also self-published several books and booklets of prose and rhyme over the years. After leaving the military, Lou resided in Denver, Colorado, for twenty-seven years, and then he and his wife retired and spent nine years living in their travel trailer as they explored the contiguous U.S. For the past twenty years, he and his wife, Ernesta (Erni), have resided in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, beside the Rio Grande. It is here where they both enjoy life to the full. Lou is still climbing the hills on his bicycle, looking forward to becoming an octogenarian. The most severe pain he and his wife suffered was the loss of their only child to cancer. All of these things and much more are included in the form of rhyme within the pages of An Anthology of Thoughts in Rhyme.
