The main objective of this project is the approach of an automation proposal for the manufacturing process of balsa blocks which is part of the company Produsiembal Cia Ltda. To reach the fulfillment of the objective, the study of the process was carried out taking into account different tools of industrial engineering in order to identify the problems and opportunities for improvement that allow the increase of the efficiency and the increase of the productivity. The result of the study is the description and evaluation of the alternatives according to the problems, needs and possibilities of implementation taking into account the infrastructure that the company has.
