A shift from agriculture to agribusiness is an essential pathway to revitalize Indian agriculture and to make it more attractive and profitable venture. Agripreneurship have the potential to contribute to social and economic development through employment generation, income generation, poverty reduction, improvements in nutrition, health and overall food security in the national economy. Agriclinics and Agribusiness Centres Scheme (AC & ABC Scheme) was launched in April 2002 by Government of India with the objective to supplement the public extension system through educated and trained agricultural graduates in a self employment mode. There is need to formulate sound situation specific programs for the benefit of agripreneurs in Gujarat.
