Her great creative influences include writers such as Maya Angelou, James Baldwin, Michelle Obama, Susan Jeffers, Raupi Kaur, Pierre Jeanty, and Reyna Biddy. Musically, her main inspirations are Lauryn Hill, Kehlani, India Aire, Jhene Aiko, Mahalia, and Emeli Sandé.
