Also this novel should preserve some of the norms of the 'Swinging Sixties'. While in some locations 'drugs and free love' were the norm in the 'Nursing' sorority there seemed to be more of a 'Florence Nightingale' spirit and a real sense of vocation widespread." This story is a fun look at many of the actual situations expressed by nurses in that time and is intended to show Thelma's joie de vivre and indomitable character.
