Each political regime erects statues and monuments in honor of those who served it. Streets, avenues and others are given names of those who served the regime. After these regimes are overthrown, the new forces that came to power tear down these monuments and erect their own monuments in their place. This Bolshevik approach to monuments, unfortunately, took place at different stages of the modern history of Azerbaijan.
