Indian power sector having the target of 175GW of power from renewable energy, out of that 40 GW from Rooftop solar Photovoltaic by 2022. The installed capacity of solar photovoltaic till 2017 is about 14.77 GW power. Apart from the installation, the Performance of the solar power plant is needed to be addressed by calculating the various parameters like performance ratio, plant capacity utilization ratio for the effectiveness of the plant. Here in this paper we are analysing and comparing the performance of the two 20KWp grid-connected rooftop power plants in Telangana state. In addition to the above, the various grid-connected solar photovoltaic power plants are investigated from Tamil Nadu and the Andhra Pradesh States.
