O knihe
Ayurveda has been the most acceptable traditional medicine and has built up a sophisticated system for treating several diseases/disorders. It is evident that several medicinal plants have been used in traditional ayurvedic medicine for treatment and management of inflammation and oxidative stress. Garlic (Allium sativum L. fam. Alliaceae) is one of the most researched medicinal plants. In addition, Mucuna pruriens has also long been used in traditional Ayurvedic Indian medicine for diseases. M.pruriens and Garlic's properties result from a combination of variety biologically active substances which all together are responsible for their curative effect. Yet, the standardization, safety and efficacy of these botanicals formulations have remained key issues to be addressed for the popularization of herbal drugs all over the world. Taking into consideration the above, this book provides a research report on the use of the herbal formulations of M.pruriens and Garlic's as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiannelid and antimicrobial agents. This book also describes the advanced analytical techniques for the identification of bioactive compounds possessing this botanical formulation.
