During the second half of 20th century, chemical farming system achieved giant strides in rising agricultural production and satisfying growing human needs. Sometime, the worldwide abuse of agrochemicals led to a set of several problems, as well as soil unsustainability. The excessive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in modern agriculture has caused environmental pollution, while at the same time self-sufficiency in food has decreased. The intensification and expansion of modern agriculture is amongst the greatest current threats to worldwide biodiversity. The sound management of animal and crop residues plays a crucial role in organic farming. Its valuable resource which completes the nutrient cycles and allows much of the nitrogen fixed with legumes and harvested as forage to be returned to the soil where it can be available for subsequent crops. It is necessary to conclude that organic manuring aims to improve the biological and physical/chemical properties of the soil and is important as a source of energy and nutrients for the soil ecosystem.
