The study of blood flow through mammalian circulatory system has been the subject of scientific research for about a couple of centuries. The experimental studies and the theoretical treatments of blood flow phenomena are very useful for the diagnosis of a number of cardiovascular diseases and development of pathological patterns in human or animal physiology and for other clinical purposes and practical applications.
