The year 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the arrival of the builders from Bulgaria to the Belgorod region. Foreign specialists took part in the construction of Lebedinsky mining and processing plant, Stoilensky mining and processing plant and Oskolsky electrometallurgical plant as part of the Komsomol construction. Positive results of interaction between Soviet and Bulgarian workers in the Republic of Komi created preconditions and significantly enriched the experience of international economic cooperation in solving the problem of raw materials supply to the industry of the CMEA member countries. Bulgarian builders have brought significant diversity to the life of the mining town of Gubkin, and have carried out a large volume of construction and installation work both at the Lebedinsky GOK and other facilities.
