Pyometra is a hormonally mediated acute or chronic poly-systemic life threatening disorder affecting the canine and feline female reproductive tract. Ovariohysterectomy is considered as the most reliable treatment option for this condition. This book describes about recent advances in pharmacological management of canine pyometra which will enable the veterinarian to resolve pyometra without hampering the breeding potential of young breedable dogs.
