O knihe
The book by E. Fidkevich "A. Chehov's Epistolary" gives a complex analysis of A. Chehov's epistolary heritage and defines the role of epistolary in highlighting of ideological and aesthetic quest of the writer in the 80th - 90th of XIX - early XXth centuries. Reference to Chekhov's epistolary heritage allows to analyze the writer's conclusions concerning the nature of creativity, interrelation of art and reality, to realize the essence of his philosophical way of life and search for the new forms of art, which were common for the representatives of creative intelligentsia in Russia in the late XIXth - early XXth centuries. Particular attention is paid to artistic peculiarities of Chekhov's epistolary works and their individual linguistic stylistics. The factual material, theoretical provisions and conclusions of the study can be used in the study of the Russian literary process of the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries, as well as in subsequent studies of problematic issues of the epistolary heritage of the writer.
