O knihe
This is Dermot O'Byrne's 1913 collection of short stories, 'Children of the Hills'. The weird and imaginative stories contained in this anthology paint a vivid picture of both the wild Irish landscape and the savage passions of its people, persistently infused with hints of the occult that are reminiscent of Yeats's stories. This volume is highly recommended for fans of literature related to Ireland, and it is not to be missed by collectors of O'Byrne's work. Sir Arnold Edward Trevor Bax (1883 - 1953) was an English composer and poet. His musical style was infused with aspects of romanticism and impressionism, and was frequently influenced by Irish literature and landscape. His poetry and stories, written under the pseudonym of Dermot O'Byrne, convey his sincere admiration of Irish poet W. B. Yeats, and are largely written in the tradition of the Irish Literary Revival. This volume was first published in 1913, and is being republished now in an affordable, modern edition. It comes complete with a specially commissioned new biography of the author.
