The challenges facing African Christianity are similar to those the early Greco-Roman Christianity faced while trying to integrate the gospel in the ways that were understandable by locals, as well as being authentic as far as Christianity was concerned. This book is written in similar circumstances, in particular in its focus on Igembe community a sub-group of Meru tribe in Kenya. It is focused on understanding how African spirituality has been a challenge to Christianity, especially as far as healing, health and wholeness, calamities, and witchcraft are concerned.
