O knihe

Ivorian agriculture is generally rain-fed. It is the primary provider of employment and the foundation of Côte d'Ivoire's economic development. Thus, the deterioration of climatic conditions makes agricultural systems vulnerable. First, the topic addressed in the first part of the book is: "Rainfall recession and reconversion of agricultural migrants in the sub-prefecture of Bouäé in the Center-West of Côte d'Ivoire." Indeed, the rainfall recession observed in the Bouaflé sub-prefecture is marked by a significant decrease in rainfall. This climatic problem has resulted in a lack of water for the main crops grown by migrants who have come to the area to make their fortune. To this end, migration to the sub-prefecture of Bouaflé has now become mining (gold panning). This conversion of agricultural migrants into gold miners leads to a dynamic of degraded areas that extend over several hectares. In addition, the outcome of the study raises another major research interest. This is the study of the impacts of gold panning on the natural factors of agricultural production.
