I,had about decided that my search for ideal land, for a man with an average pocketbook, was hopeless when my attention was called to Marinette in Salt River Valley, near Phoenix, Arizona. I was told that Salt River Valley was practically unknown to the gen eral public until the completion of the Roosevelt dam, which had changed it into a veritable paradise. As yet there had been little advertising and the prices were reasonable.
I decided to investigate and as August, one of the hottest months, is judged the most unfavorable time of the year (if there is an unfavorable time) I went over.
