O knihe
The concept of 'adl (justice) is one of, if not the most challenging, controversial and complex universal concept at the root of modern philosophical, ethical and religious discourse. In Islam, the concept has occupied an important position in the sense that the Qur'an and the Prophetic Ahadith have acknowledged its ontology. The work reveals that al-'adl in Islam is a comprehensive concept that touches all aspects of religious practices, but broadly, the two scholars have classified it into Divine and Social justice, with the latter also being divided into distributive and legal justice. Despite the various areas of their similarities, the study finds out that they are incompatible in the areas of emphasis and priority on those to and way of establishing justice in Islam. Finally, the work concludes by recommending that Islam and 'adl are two inseparable terms that one cannot exist without the other, and therefore no matter how sophisticated the life of modern man is, Islam and its principles remain relevant and that justice must be observed with faith (Iman) and belief.
