Susan Blakely is a young marketing executive who joins the pharmaceutical company GMA Corporation, headed by chief executive officer Richard Danziger.
Danziger wants to be the leader of his company, his industry, his country and perhaps even the world. When he realizes Ms. Blakely is an honest and talented person, he subjects her to verbal abuse and sexual harassment. After she refuses to tolerate his repugnant behavior, he shifts his attention to other targets.
