The first part of this book discusses how cryptocurrency derivatives are legally characterized under French and U.S. laws. It describes their perception by the doctrine and the regulatory authorities in France and in the U.S. It also discusses whether cryptocurrencies can be considered to be eligible underlying to derivatives.The second part examines the consequences of the characterization of cryptocurrency derivatives. It provides a description of the French and American regulatory frameworks applicable to these products.
