O knihe
Periodontal disease is one of the most prevalent afflictions worldwide. The most serious consequences of periodontal disease , include loss of cementum, the periodontal ligament, and alveolar bone. Different treatment modalities are Conventional periodontal treatment, such as root planing, gingival curettage, and scaling, are highly effective at repairing disease-related defects and halting the progression of periodontitis. Studies indicate that they typically result in the development of a long junctional epithelium between the root surface and gingival connective tissue rather than the regrowth of tissue that restores the architecture and function. Thus, more effective techniques that predictably promote the body's natural ability to regenerate its lost periodontal tissues, particularly alveolar bone still need to be developed. Bone grafting is the recent and most common form of regenerative therapy today and is usually essential for restoring all types of periodontal supporting tissue.
