In 2008, after the huge blow by the financial collapse of Wall Street in America, was a downturn in economic activity, leading to a global recession. Following many countries, Cyprus was forced to seek help from the European Union and the International Monetary Fund. The author has attempted to identify the exact causes of this crisis as well as to detect the impact on people's life. The book shows that the citizens of the Island are not satisfied with the decision of the haircut of the deposits. Nearly all respondents, regardless of the reply method, agreed that the economic crisis has led to unemployment, which is the major reason for the young graduates' immigration to other countries. All in all, Cypriot citizens' faith to the reliability of the Government and politicians has been lost, and the fact that external factors are trying to satisfy their own interests cannot be denied.
