The novel tells the unusual adventures of a doorman in a luxury building in Manhattan, New York. This novel was one of the three finalist of the Medicis Prize and which was reviewed in newspapers such as Le Monde, Liberation, Le Figaro, Nuevo Día, El Nuevo Herald and others. The Novelle Observateur described the novel: Arenas has created an enchanted world full of strange realities and a superb baroque delirium.
