O knihe
Post-colonial feminist fiction remains an important weapon to fight the oppression that women face in their day to day life. Bapsi Sidhwa and Chinua Achebe, the representatives of the contemporary society, have performed the role of post-colonial feminist writers by giving voice to their female characters. This voice is against physical, moral and intellectual exploitation of post-colonial women. Both the writers have accomplished their socio-political and cultural responsibility in educating their readers to acknowledge women efforts in the development of society. Either it is a partition trauma or post-independent anarchy; women in both the novels prove themselves in every field of life. It is the time for male and female writers of post-colonial nations to make efforts like Achebe and Sidhwa by assigning positive and active roles to women. The researcher believes that men must realize women's importance as the latter's participation in third world countries is integral to make these countries progressive. The researcher is hopeful by contending that women are equal to men in intellect and if the barriers of subjugation are lifted, they can prove even better than men.
