O knihe
Incomplete rhizogenesis is the phase of root formation of the teeth, being responsible for their eruption, soon occurring in childhood and adolescence, depending on whether the teeth are deciduous or permanent. It is in the childhood and adolescence phase that there is a higher probability of teeth being affected by caries or suffering trauma, and when this occurs causing a pulping, the process of rhizogenesis is impaired, since the dental pulp is responsible for root formation. Incomplete rhizogenesis occurs when the dental unit has not yet reached stage 10 of Nolla, presenting internal morphology with thin and fragile root walls, an apical opening with a diameter larger than the root canal, which hinders the biomechanical preparation of the canals. Thus, the stimulation of root development through the apicification technique applying intracanal medication (calcium hydroxide) aims to induce closure of the apex and provide conditions for adequate root canal filling.
