It is expected that analysts will always have certain subjective feelings and thoughts about their patients. These feelings, at times, may even be loving or sexual feelings which arise during the course of psychotherapy. These sexual and loving feelings have been termed erotic countertransference. This book explores the meaning and manifestation of erotic countertransference, particularly, within in a psychoanalytic treatment context.
