Every Psalm for Easy Singing

This is a new translation of the Psalms for singing.It is available in paperback, hardback and Ebook format.With its sister book (A Help for using the Psalms in Personal and Family Worship) it enables the singing of the complete Book of Psalms in a year. It is divided into the same 365 portions as the Help.It uses a single metre throughout, so that individuals and families can easily sing without requiring musical ability.It is produced in blank verse without the restriction that rhyme imposes on translation.It attempts to stay as close as possible to the inspired Hebrew words, whilst clearly expressing the meaning.It avoids dynamic translation that simply interprets difficult lines. It is translated from the Hebrew, with reference to a wide range of Hebrew study materials, lexicons and commentaries.It does not attempt to reinterpret the Psalms, or to use any of the modern English versions as its basis. In its preparation, Reformation and post-Reformation translations such as the Geneva Bible, the Authorised Version, The Welsh Bible, the Dutch States Bible (Statenvertaling), and Calvin's translation were constantly referred to, and regular reference was also made to the Septuagint. We have carefully distinguished Hebrew words in the translation, such as the different words used for man and for God.Every Psalm for Easy Singing and the Help can be used independently. The Help can be used with another metrical psalter. Every Psalm for Easy Singing can be used with a commentary. This 'Verse Only' edtion provides the translation for singing with tunes that can be used with it. Audio files of the tunes are available on the Pearl Publications website. An Expanded Study Edition of Every Psalm for Easy Singing is also available. It is a valuable Bible study aid in working through the Psalms and for those leading worship with the book.
