O knihe

Socrates, the chief martyr of reason, held that giving an account of things known is possible to only those who are aware of it. One can say that this accounting or uttering of meaningful sounds happens through a language. Language because, it is a medium of understanding. It is a medium of appreciating life. It embodies the meaning which life confers on reality. Among all the gifts received, the gift of language appears to be priceless. It is language which simplifies communication and to make it effective, it needs to be among those who share the same language. Someone who knows only German may appear confused when spoken to only in Italian. For that person it would just be a string of meaningless noises. Every language therefore is a treasury of human experiences. It embodies the intellectual wealth of the people who speak them. Having said this, can we then justify the objectivity of human experience? Can the experience of a speaker be understood by anyone other than the speaker? Is it possible to translate all statements concerning our mental states whereby we can explain and interpret our thoughts, feelings, emotions and even sensations into physical language?
