O knihe

The 'londola' is a cultural phenomenon that is practiced in different places and in different ways. Elsewhere, 'londola' is called 'autopsy'. In Africa, it is difficult to believe in natural death. In the face of death, family members do not sit idly by. According to culture and custom, the family gets together, consults and discusses the matter. And after having found a compromise, they consult the diviner, not only to know the cause, but also to identify the author who caused this death. Denying one's faith to go and consult the diviner, not accepting death as Christians, shows us that we are no different from the pagans. This work proposes pastoral ways in which we can catechize family members who lose their faith in this painful circumstance. As Christians, we are called to remain faithful to our baptismal promise. Family catechesis and the preaching of the word of God will be able to overcome this crisis of faith in the face of this 'londola' phenomenon.
