Cannabis, or marijuana, is the common term for Cannabis plants when they are utilised for their euphoric benefits. Cannabis may grow to a height of about 5 metres (16 feet), however, the types employed for drug-producing effects are often short-stemmed and highly branched. Because it contains the largest concentration of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), an active hallucinogenic ingredient linked to the plant's potency, the resinous exudate is the most valuable part of the plant.The prospect of medicinal cannabis encouraging or migrating into recreational use, which is associated with side effects ranging from acute to chronic, is a serious safety concern. Intoxication, poor cognitive and motor function, raised heart rate, anxiety, and psychosis are some of the acute effects in predisposed individuals.
