The research was conducted mainly focusing on the improvement of salt production in Sri Lanka by following the Sri Lankan-companies production method. Because such issues were identified in the salt production method of Sri Lanka. As a means of solving those issues, new deep crystallizer pool models were developed to improve the evaporation rate of the collected water in the pool. A few methods were developed to prevent unreliable rain from adding excess water to the pool.For that, five types of new efficient crystallizer pools have been modified. Those are: a pool covered with heat-observing material; a pool with a greenhouse model; a pool edge with a reflective panel; a pool with an instant roof system; and a sample of a salt plant pool was used as a reference to compare the improvement of salt production.They have been developed, and the temperature, humidity, wind speed, and brine concentration have been recorded on a daily basis. The improvement rate in salt production using the above-mentioned methods was found to be positive.
