One reafon I would offer, is, I know 1t by experience to be otherwife. My own mind, I am well a¿'ured, has been fixed upon the grand object of worfhip and the fentiments of reverence, humility, and ado ration, proper to acts of communion with God, have been preferved, at the time whei1 the attention hung upon the lips of the fpeaker. Nd I {hould imagine, the thing is not a whit more difiicult, than in the ufe of a prefcribed form.
