O knihe

An aerofoil is a structure used in fluid flow conditions. Such shaped body moving through a fluid medium produces an effort on the structure. The component of this force perpendicular to the direction of motion is called drag. The lift of an aerofoil is the result of its angle of attack. When oriented to a suitable angle, the aerofoil deflects the oncoming fluid medium, resulting in a force on the aerofoil in the direction opposite to the deflection i.e. the structure offers the variation in velocity and pressure of flowing fluid when passed through it. The lift and drag forces are depending on the pressure created and variation in velocity. The NACA airfoil shapes for aircraft wings are developed by National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics. The present paper is carried out to study the pressure and velocity contours of fluid flow. The different dimples on surface are circular conjugations on the surface of the aerofoil, circular conjugations above the surface of the aerofoil, triangular conjugation about the surface of the aerofoil. The flow analysis of NACA6412 at an angle of attack of 4 degrees is carried out in SIMULIA XFlow.
