It has to do with my life-changing romance with Omar Augustin, a handsome Haitian student I met at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. We fell in love, and from that moment on, my life would never be the same. I wanted to be Omar's wife and bear him children, never mind the fact that he's Black and not a Muslim, and I'm a Saudi Arabian Muslim woman from a reputable family. I chose duty over love, breaking Omar's heart, and returned to Saudi Arabia to marry a man I did not love.
