O knihe
The red palm weevil (RPW) Rhynchophorus ferrugineus is the most destructive and dangerous pest attacking palm trees in many countries. It caused mass destruction in date palm. During the course of this study, found that one safety specie of entomopathogenic fungus, namely, Beauveria basiana, was isolated from (RPW). Also isolated of the nematodes. These nematodes species were the non pathogenic namely, free-living, and pathogenic, Heterohabditids sp., Steinernema sp. and Diplogasterid sp. The pathogenic fungus B. bassiana exhibited three peaks of seasonal activity in the field. The pre emergence adult of (RPW) was recorded with relatively high number pupation was observed, pathogenicity of fungal isolates. As well as shows the fungus isolates, at all tested concentrations high affect the embryonic development of (RPW) eggs and newly hatched larvae. So the inhibition of the pre emergence adult followed it pupa , larvae inside in cocoon and post adult .But the ooze highly effect on the tested B. bassiana. The insect nematode found that the response of activity started inside the cocoon recorded the highest peak of activity on the pupae, larvae inside cocoon and last larvae
